Infrastructure Architect

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect to lead an infrastructure and cloud assessment workstream for a platform modernization initiative. This role will assess the current runtime model, environment topology, hosting patterns, infrastructure automation maturity, and platform constraints, then define the future state cloud and Kubernetes architecture needed to support a shared, secure, multi-tenant platform.

This is a hands on architecture role for someone who can move from artifact review and SME discussions into practical target state recommendations, gap analysis, and remediation direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure discovery across hosting environments, deployment patterns, environment separation, networking, storage, secrets, and service runtime architecture
  
• Review and analyze manifests, cluster configurations, Helm charts, Terraform or other infrastructure as code artifacts, environment inventories, and network diagrams
  
• Document the current runtime and environment topology, including how services are hosted today and how environments are separated across SDLC stages and state specific implementations
  
• Assess containerization and Kubernetes readiness at the service level, identify blockers, and recommend remediation paths
  
• Evaluate infrastructure gaps related to multi-tenancy, including tenant runtime isolation, namespace strategy, network segmentation, environment provisioning, and HA/DR maturity
  
• Define the target cloud and Kubernetes architecture, including environment topology, ingress approach, namespace isolation, resource controls, and secrets management
  
• Produce clear infrastructure architecture deliverables, gap summaries, and recommended future state designs for leadership review
  
• Participate in SME sessions with platform owners, operations teams, and engineering leads to validate findings and refine recommendations
  
  
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, cloud platform engineering, or related roles
  
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and container platforms in enterprise environments
  
• Hands on experience with cloud architecture on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
  
• Experience with infrastructure as code, such as Terraform, ARM, or Bicep
  
• Strong understanding of networking, ingress, service discovery, secrets management, and environment isolation
  
• Experience assessing or designing HA/DR strategies, including failover, recovery models, and RTO/RPO considerations
  
• Ability to analyze technical artifacts and convert findings into architecture recommendations and gap assessments
  
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead technical discovery sessions and produce executive-ready deliverables
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting healthcare or other regulated environments
  
• Experience with multi-tenant platform design
  
• Familiarity with platform observability requirements and operational isolation patterns
  
• Experience modernizing mixed legacy and cloud-native environments
