Job Title: BC Sector Life sciences  – Primary market research

Experience Required: 4+ years

Client Focus: US-based pharmaceutical and biotech clients

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic commercial analytics professional to join our life sciences team, supporting US-based pharmaceutical and biotech clients. The ideal candidate will bring over 4 years of experience in life sciences consulting, with a strong foundation in commercial strategy, market research, and data analytics. A key requirement for this role is extensive experience in leading both quantitative primary market research (PMR) projects (ATUs, Conjoint analysis), including stakeholder engagement with HCPs, KOLs, and payers. The candidate should be adept at translating research findings into actionable commercial insights and strategic recommendations. Proficiency in Python and SQL is a strong advantage, enabling advanced analytics and automation.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage multiple commercial analytics projects across diverse therapy areas (oncology, immunology, rare diseases, cardiovascular, etc.).
• Drive secondary research to build foundational knowledge for primary market research and strategic analysis.
• Review and refine materials for primary market research including screeners, discussion guides, quantitative surveys, and stimuli.
• Supervise qualitative and quantitative interviews with HCPs, KOLs, and payers to extract actionable insights.
• Prepare and lead client calls, workshops, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
• Develop and present high-impact client deliverables including strategic decks, dashboards, and executive summaries.
• Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights using tools such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI, and optionally Python/SQL (preferable)
• Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering skill development and quality delivery.
• Promote a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.

Key Competencies:

• Proven leadership and project management experience in life sciences consulting, with a strong track record of delivering strategic insights.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI); working knowledge of Python and SQL is a plus.
• Excellent communication and storytelling abilities to present complex data and insights to senior stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and deliver high-quality outputs under tight deadlines.
• Strategic and client-centric mindset with therapeutic area-specific expertise.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in life sciences (e.g., pharmacology, biotechnology, pharmaceutical sciences); MBA preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in life sciences commercial strategy consulting, with exposure to US clients and regulatory environments.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and executing primary market research (quantitative and qualitative) and engaging with stakeholders such as HCPs, KOLs, and payers.
• Technical proficiency in Python, SQL, or other analytics platforms to support data-driven decision-making.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead projects and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Personal drive, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous learning and innovation.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Extensive experience in commercial strategy projects including market uptake studies, opportunity assessments, market entry strategies, ATU studies, product messaging strategies, TPP research and conjoint analysis
• Ability to proactively manage tasks and contribute to strategic problem-solving.
• Experience working across diverse therapy areas such as oncology, immunology, rare diseases, and cardiovascular.
• Collaborative mindset with a strong work ethic and ability to thrive in demanding situations.
