About The Role

We are looking for a technically strong Product Manager to own and scale our Connected Hardware & Telematics portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of hardware, firmware, IoT data pipelines, and fleet software.

You Will Work Closely With Hardware Vendors, Firmware Teams, IoT Engineering, Backend, And Platform Teams To Deliver Scalable Telematics Solutions Across

• OBD and J1939 data loggers
• Solar and battery asset trackers
• BLE driver ID solutions
• Safety cameras
• OEM connected vehicle integrations
  
  

• Hardware & Firmware Product Ownership
• Define requirements for next-generation data loggers and asset trackers
• Translate fleet use cases into firmware-level requirements
• Own ECRs related to telemetry signals, diagnostics, and I/O features
• Drive PRNDL, PTO, seatbelt, engine hours, collision detection improvements
• Telematics & Signal Strategy
• Define telemetry signal roadmap across:
• Standardize signal ingestion and backend normalization
• Ensure parity across multi-vendor hardware ecosystem
• Vendor & Integration Management
• Work with telematics HW vendors.
• Participate in RFP evaluations and hardware selection
• Define certification and regulatory requirements (FCC, ISED, PTCRB, carrier)
• Drive firmware upgrade strategy and OTA reliability
• IoT Platform & Data Pipeline Alignment
• Collaborate with IoT engineering on:
• Ensure scalable canonical telemetry architecture
• Field & Drive Testing
• Define drive test plans
• Analyze real-world telemetry behavior
• Validate harsh events, collision detection, PRNDL, seatbelt accuracy
• Troubleshoot device anomalies
• Business Impact Ownership
• Support new market expansion (e.g., LATAM, Caribbean, emerging markets)
• Contribute to hardware strategy and SKU rationalization
• Drive revenue-linked feature releases
• Balance cost vs feature trade-offs
  
  

• 3–5 years of product management experience
• Experience in telematics, IoT, connected hardware, or automotive systems
• Strong understanding of:
• OBD-II, J1939, CAN protocols
• GNSS and accelerometer-based events
• LTE Cat M1 / Cat 1
• BLE beacon pairing concepts
• Ability to read telemetry logs and analyze signal behavior
• Experience working with firmware or embedded teams
• Strong cross-functional leadership skills
  
  

• Experience in fleet telematics or automotive IoT
• Exposure to SPN/PGN data, DTCs, predictive maintenance
• Knowledge of regulatory certifications (FCC, ISED, PTCRB)
• Experience working with hardware vendors in APAC
• Familiarity with MQTT, UDP telemetry, or API-driven integrations
