We make real what matters. This is your role

• This position involves leading a team of 5+ members.
• Design and development of GIS components/ modules
• Working on cost-out projects
• Review of design / Drawings / Simulation / calculation documents.
• Responsible for complete development and validation.
• Coordination for Preparation of prototype GIS modules, internal test.
• Organizing development/ type test.
• Coordinating with vendors for development of new components.
• Reviewing Creo models, drawings as per organization guidelines & IEC standards
• Integrate the design in AGILE LCM system as per the organizational regulations
• Review and release of assembly BOMs in AGILE system.
• Coordinate with other departments of organization during the process of developing mechanical items.
• Team development
• Adhering to of Integrated Management system (QMS, EHQMS)

Working experience of about 10+ years in R&D departments of large Electrical / HV switchgear manufacturing organizations is preferred

Bachelor’s/Masters degree in Mechanical engineering is a must.

Technical Skills:

• Must have Hands on experiences of high voltage GIS technology as per IEC 62271-203.
• Design and development experiences in Circuit breaker, Disconnector, High-speed Earthing switch and other modules of GIS.
• Working knowledge mechanical design principles with standard components.
• Make Independent calculations (rigidity, strength, diameters, durability) to dimension parts and components
• Should have knowledge of manufacturing processes, Material & Quality inspection tools.
• Should have sound knowledge of GD&T.
• Working experiences in ANSYS / other FEA tools.
• Should be able to review 3D models of components & manage large assemblies of complex shapes independently in Creo. Should be able to create and manage BOMs with AGILE system.
• Should be able to review drawings, drafting and integrating with AGILE system.
• Conduct DFMEA and root cause analysis.
• Sound knowledge of cost-out / design to cost projects.
• Shall have sound knowledge of GIS configurations.
• Sound knowledge of Integrated Management system (QMS,EHQMS)
