• This position involves leading a team of 5+ members.
• Working on customer specific developments of GIS (complete development).
• Review of Design / Drawings / Simulation / Calculation documents.
• Coordination for Preparation of prototype GIS modules, internal tests.
• Organizing customers type tests.
• Coordinate with vendors for the development of components.
• Modelling in Creo and creating drawings as per organization guidelines & IEC standards
• Integrate the design in AGILE LCM system as per the organizational regulations
• Creation and release of assembly BOMs in AGILE system.
• Responsible for release of drawings, drafting, and integrating with the AGILE system.
• Coordinate with other departments of organization during the process of developing mechanical items.
• Adhering to Integrated Management System

Working experience of about 8+ years in R&D departments of large Electrical / HV switchgear manufacturing organizations is preferred

Bachelor’s /Masters degree in mechanical engineering is a must.

Technical Skills:

• Must have Handson experiences of high voltage GIS technology as per IEC 62271-203.
• Design and development experiences in customer specific GIS modules.
• Working knowledge of mechanical design principles with standard components.
• Make Independent calculations (rigidity, strength, diameters, durability) to dimension parts and components
• Should have knowledge of manufacturing processes, Material & Quality inspection tools.
• Should have sound knowledge of GD&T.
• Working experiences in ANSYS / other FEA tools.
• Sound knowledge of cost-out / design to cost projects.
• Should be able to review 3D models of components & manage large assemblies of complex shapes independently in Creo. Should be able to create and manage BOMs with the AGILE system.
• Conduct DFMEA and root cause analysis.
• Sound knowledge of Integrated Management system (QMS, EHQMS)
