Working experience of about 5 - 7 years in R&D departments of MV / HV switchgear manufacturing organizations is preferred.
Master’s degree in Power system/High Voltage Engineering is a must.
Technical Skills:
Design and development of SF6 Circuit Breakers (switchgear and Controlgear) based on IEC/ IEEE standards.
Adhering to the product specification with defined timeline, project cost and target product cost during development.
Lead the Cost reduction activity by redesigning the products based on market demand from product management.
Provide Technical support to sales and Marketing team regarding customer queries for Circuit breakers ranging from 72 kV to 765 kV
Ability to interact with Electrical utilities like PGCIL, NTPC and overseas customers to resolve technical issues.
More than 5 years of experience in High voltage analysis and testing of switchgear products.
Complete knowledge on Air Insulated Switchgears & Gas Insulated Switchgears and applications.
Strong Knowledge in Insulating materials (Solid, liquid, Gas and Vacuum) will be useful to enhance the product portfolio.
Must have knowledge on how arc is interrupted in SF6 and vacuum insulation. Should also have knowledge of CFD simulations.
Providing Digital solutions to Switchgears & Point on wave switching.
Should have knowledge on the applications of circuit breakers for different switching applications like reactors, capacitors, and filter bank etc
Collaboration with cross functional team and Laboratories for evaluating the products.
Hands-on experience with secondary electrical equipment’s required for circuit breakers.
Should have basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, DFA/DFM, Material & Quality inspection tools
Initiate & take part in development & Type tests, Evaluation of type test results
Key Skills:
Competent in Electrostatic and Electromagnetic analysis of switchgear products using Fine element method analysis.
CAD tools like Creo for 3D modelling
Gas flow analysis and CFD simulation of Arc in SF6
Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
Analytical approach to design
Proactive mindset and approach to serve colleagues, internal and external customers.
