Accounting Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Arlington, Virginia. This part-time role, requiring 15-20 hours per week, involves supporting essential financial operations such as accounts payable, payroll, and reconciliations. Responsibilities:
• Process and record accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Enter invoices into the accounting system and address discrepancies as needed.
• Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
• Manage payroll activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Reconcile credit card transactions and monitor expense reports.
• Collaborate with team members to address accounting inquiries and resolve issues.
• Utilize Deltek Costpoint for efficient financial data management and reporting.
• Assist in maintaining organized and up-to-date accounting documentation.
• Support the department in preparing financial reports and summaries as required.
• Proven experience in accounts payable and invoice processing.
• Proficiency in data entry with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint or similar accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of credit card reconciliation and payroll processing.
• Ability to perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members.
• Part-time availability, working 15-20 hours per week.
