Principal Accountabilities
Ensure industrial safety by maintaining proper housekeeping of the department mechanical systems and spares in accordance with OHSAS and EMS standardsbr Create a safe working environment by adhering to safety rules and procedures reporting unsafe conditions and taking corrective actions to prevent recurrencebr Participate in safety meetings and work towards resolving all safety observations and findingsbr Implement conditionbased maintenance by creating PR materials for preplanned activities and arranging necessary mechanical sparesbr Lead internal projects and ensure their timely implementation as per schedulebr Provide onthejob training to fitters and manage their daily activities effectivelybr Analyze repetitive equipment failures implement corrective actions and plan for optimal utilization of spare parts to reduce maintenance costsbr Develop indigenous spares for critical and highvalue items when necessarybr Maximize machine uptime by preparing and updating yearly preventive maintenance schedules and coordinating with operations and quality departmentsbr Analyze breakdowns due to preventive maintenance failures and implement corrective actionsbr Maintain documentation of preventive maintenance systems as per SOP and monitor equipment parts during maintenancebr Coordinate with workshops and mechanical maintenance for fabricationrelated jobsbr Execute shutdown jobs as per schedule coordinate with external service vendors and manage documentation for mechanical sparesbr Follow SAP systems QMS OHSAS and EMS effectively and update department maintenance databasesbr Manage wage systems for fitters and modify mechanical systems as per plan
