Job Purpose

Ensure, check and advise the concern department for the planning organising the necessary measures for the effective control of personal injury and evaluate effectiveness action taken, Ensure safety aspects, plant safety inspection in order to observe physical condition and practices and remove the unsafe condition. Establish the new safe practices.

Key Accountabilities (1/6)

Prevent incidences across unit to ensure employees and stakeholders safety

Execute day to day HSE Activities such as plant safety inspection, HSE review, work permits, observations etc.

Executing the Hazop study, plant unit operation study as per the process change and requirements

Conduct Mock drills and implement recommendations

Carry out trainings like scheduled & Tool box trainings

Follow-up and physical check with vendors for the monthly maintenance of the firefighting equipment, fire protection and detection system

Key Accountabilities (2/6)

Assess and Improve emergency preparedness across Unit to reduce impact of Incidences to human and property

Conduct the HSE review against the Accident/ Incident and other case studies, unsafe condition and existing operation

Oversee Calibration, Monitoring and inspection of the safety equipment is done as per schedule

Prepare for Internal / External Audits and comply to improvement points

Key Accountabilities (3/6)

Execution of the planned Activity, promotional Activity and improvement and Statutory compliance.

Review the Existing PPE and check the safety equipment with different vendors for Quality and cost

Organise promotional activities NSW, Fire service week, Road safety week etc.

Execute closure of CAPA of HSE review against incidents, audits

Provide new safety equipment to Unit

Education Qualification

Science graduate in chemistry/ Diploma or Degree with Diploma in Advance industrial safety

Relevant Work Experience

2 years of safety experience in Pharma or chemical industries
