Introduction:
The Aggregate Technology Engineering department is seeking a Structural Analyst to support the design and validation of crushing and screening equipment.
The role focuses on structural calculations and advanced finite element analysis (FEA) using ANSYS, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and delivering reliable, cost-effective designs.
The position involves close collaboration with design, testing, application, and service teams across the product lifecycle, offering strong exposure to real-world engineering challenges in a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
What you’ll do:
Collaborate closely with design teams to evaluate, validate, and improve designs based on analytical results.
Perform structural and mechanical hand calculations in accordance with applicable standards (IS, ISO, DIN, etc.).
Conduct static linear and nonlinear FEA for crushing and screening equipment using ANSYS.
Perform modal, dynamic, and harmonic response analyses for crushing and screening equipment.
Execute fatigue analysis in accordance with IIW guidelines and relevant design standards.
Carry out material flow / DEM analysis using Rocky DEM or similar tools (where applicable).
Prepare and maintain design calculation sheets using MS Excel and PTC MathCAD.
Interpret simulation results and convert them into clear, actionable design recommendations.
Generate technical documentation, including analysis reports, assumptions, and test correlation notes.
Support testing and validation activities by correlating FEA results with experimental data.
Who you are:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
1–3 years of experience in structural analysis/FEA within Heavy Engineering, Mining, or Aggregate industries.
Strong academic and practical foundation in:
Finite Element Method (FEM)
Strength of Materials
Applied Mechanics
Structural Dynamics
Technical Skills
Proficiency in ANSYS Mechanical for structural, modal, dynamic, and fatigue analysis.
Experience with ANSYS CAD environment and SpaceClaim.
Knowledge of NX CAD or similar CAD software (preferred).
Familiarity with industry design standards (IS, ISO, DIN, IIW).
Hands-on experience with Excel-based calculations and PTC MathCAD.
Exposure to DEM tools (Rocky DEM) is an added advantage.
