Position Summary

This is skilled work in the operation, maintenance, and servicing of chemical plant utility equipment. work involves responsibility for the operation, servicing, and repair equipment’s like boiler, air compressor, chiller, cooling tower, water distribution pumps, chilled water circulation pumps etc. with the aim of zero breakdown.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure optimal and continuous operation of utility equipment’s by performing routine inspections and maintenance, monitoring equipment, and adjusting levels as necessary.
• Maintain systems by scheduling regular inspections, cleanings, filter replacement and all other tasks necessary to keep all equipment’s performing optimally; identify and repair or replace malfunctioning components.
• Ensure safety by monitoring safety equipment, identifying potential issues and taking appropriate steps to suspend operations and repair the problem.
• Perform necessary repairs and replacements, obtain replacement parts and upgrade components as needed while staying within the budget.
• Create and enter properly documented records of inspections, maintenance routines and repairs and daily logbooks of utility equipment’s like RO plant, chillers, brine chillers, circulation pumps, air compressor, nitrogen plants etc.
• Responsible for chemical makeup of water, testing of RO/PW water qualities.
• Prepare and maintain records of water consumption.
• Conducts routine maintenance checks and performs preventive maintenance on utility equipment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
