JOB DESCRIPTION

This role is responsible for supporting packaging operations within pharmaceutical manufacturing environments as a trainee associate, developing foundational competencies in pharmaceutical packaging processes, equipment operation, and quality compliance. The incumbent assists in performing packaging activities including the operation of automated packaging systems, blister packing machines, bottle filling and capping equipment, and cartoning and labeling systems under the supervision of experienced personnel. This position adheres to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and standard operating procedures to maintain product integrity, safety, and compliance throughout the packaging process. The role supports the overall production function by contributing to the timely and accurate completion of packaging operations while developing skills in batch documentation and record-keeping. It contributes to maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant work area in accordance with area cleaning and sanitization protocols. The position participates actively in training programs to build technical competencies in packaging operations, regulatory requirements, and quality standards applicable to pharmaceutical manufacturing. It supports continuous improvement efforts by learning to identify and report deviations and contributing to quality improvement processes.

Essential Functions

  • Assist in operating packaging equipment including automated packaging systems, blister packing machines, bottle filling and capping equipment, and cartoning and labeling systems under supervision.
  • Adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and standard operating procedures during all packaging activities.
  • Support accurate and complete packaging of pharmaceutical products in accordance with established specifications and quality standards.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and complete batch documentation and packaging records as required by regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant work area in accordance with area cleaning and sanitization protocols.
  • Learn to identify, segregate, and report non-conforming products and packaging materials in accordance with established quality procedures.
  • Participate actively in training programs to develop technical competencies in packaging operations and quality standards.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by learning to identify and report deviations and contributing to CAPA processes.
  • Comply with all regulatory requirements and internal policies applicable to pharmaceutical packaging operations.

Education

  • Diploma DBM - Required
  • Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) B. Sc. - Preferred
