Senior Python Developer

<p>In this role, you will design and build the backend systems and infrastructure that power Zymr's mission-critical financial services. You'll own services end-to-end, from API design to data models to production reliability, while working extensively with AI coding agents and LLM-based tooling to ship faster and operate at higher leverage than a traditional backend team.</p><p>You'll collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and ML engineers to deliver resilient backend services that handle real money, real data, and real users.</p><div><br></div><p><strong>Job Title:</strong> Python Developer <br><strong>Experience:</strong>&nbsp;– 6+ Years<br><strong>Location:</strong>&nbsp;Pune / Ahmedabad<br><strong>Education Qualification:</strong> BE/ME in Computer Science or related engineering discipline</p><div><br></div><div><strong>Key Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></div><ul><li><p>Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and data pipelines that power Zymr's investment and wealth management platform</p></li><li><p>Make architectural decisions on system design, data modeling, service boundaries, and infrastructure</p></li><li><p>Write clean, well-tested, observable code, and use AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) as a core part of your daily workflow to accelerate delivery without sacrificing quality</p></li><li><p>Build and integrate LLM and agent-powered backend capabilities where they unlock product value (e.g., automated workflows, intelligent data processing, agent-driven user experiences)</p></li><li><p>Optimize for performance, scalability, and reliability across distributed services</p></li><li><p>Integrate with third-party financial APIs, brokerage systems, market data providers, and cloud infrastructure</p></li><li><p>Set up logging, monitoring, and alerting (Sentry, Datadog, etc.) and participate in on-call and incident response</p></li><li><p>Drive engineering best practices around code review, testing, and evaluation, including evals for any AI/agent-driven systems you ship</p></li><li><p>Partner with product and design to translate ambiguous problems into well-scoped backend solutions</p></li><li><p>Design and build reliable agent orchestration workflows using Temporal, leveraging state machines and workflow orchestration patterns to manage complex, long-running backend processes.</p></li></ul><div><strong>Requirements: </strong></div><ul style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;"><li><p>At least 6 years of backend software development experience, with strong proficiency in Python (or similar)</p></li><li><p>Deep understanding of distributed systems, RESTful and/or gRPC APIs, microservices, and database systems (SQL and NoSQL)</p></li><li><p>Experience designing for reliability, performance, and security in production environments</p></li><li><p>Fluency with AI coding tools and a track record of using them to materially raise your output and code quality</p></li><li><p>Experience building with LLMs and/or agent frameworks (tool use, function calling, MCP, evals) or strong interest and aptitude to ramp up quickly</p></li><li><p>Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication and collaboration skills</p></li><li><p>Prior experience in trading platforms, brokerage systems, or financial infrastructure is a big plus, but not a must</p></li></ul>
