Senior Cargo Planning Agent

We are currently recruiting for the role of Senior Cargo Planning Agent based in Ahmedabad, India.

As a Senior Cargo Planning Agent you will be responsible to deliver tactical cargo flight planning activities that serve as the operational interface between Cargo Revenue Management and Cargo Operations. The role ensure accurate and timely release of freight booking list (FBL), recovery of offloaded shipments and rapid action during disruptions. By balancing commercial priorities with operational realities, the role protects revenue, optimizes uplift and upholds service commitments across the network

Responsibilities:

As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:

• Review and validate flight booking details before FBL release (e.g. compatibility checks, advance booking optimization) to ensure uplift readiness.
• Verify listed air waybills are ready for flight planning and initiate rebooking if required, ensuring alignment to shipment priorities
• Release FBLs within agreed timeframe with operations or ground handling agent (GHA) providing accurate planning guidelines aligned with revenue and space optimization tools used by QR Cargo
• Revise FBLs when last – minute changes occur (aircraft downgrade, cancellations, load adjustments, etc.).
• Process recovery of offloaded shipments by reprotection on subsequent flights within agreed processing time to minimize impact on quality of service
• Ensure to maximize repair of offloaded shipments to subsequent flights within 24 hours of offload to avoid dilution of quality and revenue.
• Conduct first level of post-flight analysis to identify causes of sub-optimal planning (ULD imbalance impact, unused positions on constrained flights, etc.) and highlight anomalies to rectify.
• Escalate and prioritize shipments requiring special handling (e.g. VIP shipments, high-value shipments, etc.)
• Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 1 years of job-related experience
• Strong knowledge and experience in any of the following areas – cargo planning, cargo capacity management and cargo operations, logistics/ supply chain and airline reservations
• Solid understanding of cargo operational and commercial processes
• Proven ability to adapt to new processes due to evolving operational and commercial needs
• Skilled in KPI monitoring and escalation management
• Working knowledge of MS Office and any air cargo systems.
• Analytical and problem-solving ability under time-sensitive conditions
• Ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders across regions
• Good command of English language
• Comfortable to work in shifts including night shifts
