Lead - Electronics And Control Engineering

Position Summary:

The purpose of this role is to design, develop, and maintain control software for injection molding and extrusion machinery. The position is responsible for delivering innovative automation solutions, supporting new product development, enhancing existing machine functionality, and providing technical support for global customers while ensuring safety, reliability, performance and regulatory compliance.

Work You’ll Do:

• Develop software for new products and features based on market requirements, customer needs, competitive analysis, and continuous product improvement initiatives.
• Participate in requirement analysis, control system architecture, software design, validation, and product release activities.
• Deliver customer requests and development projects within agreed timelines and budgets.
• Maintain and standardization software platforms across machine families to improve reliability, scalability and feature enhancements.
• Develop solutions focused on machine safety, operator safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Capable of working independently and providing out-of-box solutions.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams on strategic product development (global & domestic) projects.
• Partner with manufacturing, service, and application teams to support installed systems and deliver high levels of customer satisfaction
• Identify opportunities and execute cost reduction, product reliability & product improvement initiatives.
• Remains current with emerging technologies to ensure our controls software solutions are leading edge and cost effective.
• Ensure compliance with ISO procedures, engineering standards, machine safety standards and documentation requirements.
• Maintain various MIS records, data preparation and analysis.​

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor/Master of Engineering in Instrumentation / Mechatronics /Electronics & Communication/ Electrical or equivalent.
• 8 to 10 years of primary experience in Industrial automation control system with expertise in Motion control, PLC programming, HMI design and industrial field bus communications.
• Proficiency in IEC 61131-3 PLC programming and C/C++ and/or C# languages.
• Experience with Higher-level languages like HTML5, JS, Python or modern programming language will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of version control systems (Azure DevOps, Git, SVN)
• Experience of working with global team will be advantages.
• Should be ready to work in different time zones for global projects.
• Able to independently complete all specific responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Experience in Beckhoff, B&R and KEBA controller platform will be an advantage.
