Job Summary

Key Responsibilities & Duties
Clinical Practice & Diagnostic Excellence
Conduct comprehensive medical assessments and physical evaluations specializing in joint, muscle, and connective tissue function.
Differentiate efficiently between mechanical musculoskeletal issues and systemic inflammatory conditions.
Order, evaluate, and interpret complex laboratory investigations (e.g., ANA panels, Rheumatoid Factor, anti-CCP, ESR, CRP) and diagnostic imaging (X-rays, MSK Ultrasound, MRI, CT, and DEXA scans).
Diagnose and design customized long-term management plans for conditions including, but not limited to:
Inflammatory Arthritis: Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, and Gout.
Systemic Conditions: Vasculitis, Polymyalgia Rheumatica, Osteoporosis, and chronic pain syndromes like Fibromyalgia.
Inpatient Care & Consultations
Provide timely expert consults for acute or critical medical cases admitted across other hospital departments (e.g., Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Pulmonology, Orthopedics).
Manage acute rheumatologic crises in inpatient settings, such as severe lupus flares, systemic vasculitis, or acute crystal arthropathies.
Advanced Therapeutics & Procedures
Prescribe and carefully monitor advanced pharmacological treatments, including Disease-Modifying Antirheumatic Drugs (DMARDs) and cutting-edge biologic/targeted synthetic therapies.
Perform essential localized clinical procedures such as intra-articular joint aspirations, soft-tissue injections, and diagnostic synovial fluid analysis.
Stay updated on protocols mitigating immunosuppressive drug toxicities and manage infection screening requirements pre-therapy.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration
Coordinate directly with Allied Health Professionals—specifically Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists—to build holistic rehabilitation programs aimed at restoring joint mobility and improving quality of life.
Refer patients to Orthopedic Surgeons when joint damage necessitates structural, surgical interventions.

Job Specifications & Qualifications
Education & Degrees:
MBBS from a recognized institution.
MD or DNB in General Medicine / Pediatrics.
Super Specialization: DM or DNB in Rheumatology (or equivalent accredited Fellowship training in Clinical Immunology & Rheumatology).
Experience Required: Open to both fresh Super Specialists looking to establish a practice and experienced Senior Consultants looking to scale clinical reach.
