A Snapshot of Your Day

Responsible and accountable for the Casting parts Purchasing Function. Responsible for vendor identification and development so as to negotiate and buy materials and services to meet the Companys operational requirements. This includes supplier selection, RFQ and cost estimation.

Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships to deliver continuous improvement in delivery of goods and services by the supply base

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Hardcore experience required in Commodity Purchasing (Casting & Forging )
  • Should be expertise in casting processes
  • Well conversation with supplier development activities.
  • Techno-Commercial knowledge on development of Heavy Industrial Gears/Casting/Forging components & other catalogue components.
  • Handling all functions of machining division Customer quality, Production, ME, Quality, Maintain PPC, vendor machining, costing, new vendor development, vendor quality management. cost saving initiatives, new RFQs, new product developments
  • Responsible for new vendor development, assessment, cost finalization, scheduling, OTIF adherence.
  • Ensure that purchasing strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and
  • Evaluate the challenges faced by the business and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities
  • Develop, implement and maintain a supplier relationship and evaluation process to measure effective supplier performance and compliance
  • Work closely with QC, Design & Development to source new and alternative raw materials


What You Bring

  • Bachelor of mechanical Engineering /metallurgical engineering
  • Self-motivated and able to work well under pressure
  • Working experience on ERP (SAP)
  • Knowledge of 5S, Kanban, Kristal, ZFPS & Kaizen
  • Strong and confident negotiator with the ability to negotiate at all levels
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Results orientated with ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines
