AM Pilot Line Maintenance-A Zone

Purpose of the Role

Responsible for equipment availability, reliability and maintainability of the pilot line through hands-on electrical troubleshooting, preventive/predictive maintenance, RCA and continuous improvement. Electrical is the primary technical specialisation, while the engineer works jointly with Mechanical and Automation engineers on every significant breakdown

Key Responsibility Areas

Greenfield

• Support equipment installation, commissioning, trials and ramp-up of the pilot line.
• Work with OEMs, system integrators, contractors and internal engineering teams during installation and commissioning.
• Review equipment documentation, drawings and maintainability/accessibility before handover.
• Support development of maintenance standards, checklists, SOPs and troubleshooting guides.

Functional

• Respond to breakdowns and support rapid restoration of equipment.
• Own troubleshooting of MCCs, control panels, motors, VFDs, contactors, relays, power supplies, safety circuits and field devices.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans for electrical systems and improve inspection standards.
• Work jointly with Mechanical and Automation engineers to diagnose complete equipment failure mechanisms.
  
  

Job Context Specific

• Conduct RCA using 5-Why, Fishbone and other structured methods and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Support electrical safety, isolation/LOTO and safe maintenance practices.
• Maintain critical electrical spares, maintenance history and support MTTR/MTBF improvement.
• Coordinate with OEMs/vendors during commissioning, breakdowns and reliability improvement.
  
  

Knowledge Specific

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

Essential – Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on electrical maintenance experience in Lithium-ion Cell Manufacturing, Paint, Solar Cellor other highly automated manufacturing industries, with strong knowledge of electrical systems, MCC/LT panels, motors, VFDs, control panels, sensors, safety circuits and industrial power distribution. Experience in breakdown maintenance, PM, troubleshooting, RCA, CAPA and problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5-Why and 7 QC Tools.

Desired - Knowledge of Lithium ion cell manufacturing , with pilot-line commissioning/ramp-up experience and hands-on experience in PLC/VFD, FMEA, TPM, OEE and reliability improvement.
