Entry Level Surety Underwriting Trainee

About The Role

If you thrive on building relationships and bring an analytical mindset, Zurich’s Underwriting Training Program offers a unique opportunity to combine both strengths in one of insurance’s most critical roles. Through hands-on training and expert guidance, you’ll develop the skills to assess complex risks for large and multinational organizations. You’ll learn how to negotiate coverage, evaluate exposures, and determine pricing and terms—while building expertise, confidence, and long-term value as an underwriter.

Basic Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelors degree in finance or a business-related degree and on track to graduate by Spring/Summer 2026
• Strong analytical and intercommunication skills
• Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities often under tight deadlines
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous corporate finance or banking internship experience, underwriting experience is a plus!
• Aptitude for automation and process improvement
• Strong organizational and negotiation skills
• Intermediate Microsoft Office experience
  
  

Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. If your expectations are above the listed range, we still encourage you to apply—your unique background matters to us.

The salary for this position is $76,700, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 5%.
