Job Description

The Finance & Accounts Manager is an integral role within the organization, responsible for overseeing and managing the financial accounting and reporting functions. This position plays a key role in maintaining the financial health of the organization by managing the balance sheets, financial statements, budgeting forecasts, and providing strategic guidance and operational support on financial management. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a deep understanding of financial regulations and procedures. Working closely with the senior management team, the Finance & Accounts Manager will be instrumental in driving financial strategies and ensuring compliance with all relevant financial laws and regulations. This involves bringing an innovative approach to financial planning, fostering financial accountability within the team, and providing data-driven insights for strategic decision-making.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the entire financial accounting and reporting processes efficiently.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports accurately.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls that are effective.
  • Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to guide financial decision-making.
  • Coordinate the preparation of the annual budget and monitor expenditures periodically.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations concerning financial practices.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor the accounts team to enhance their performance.
  • Identify cost-reduction opportunities and implement strategies to improve financial efficiency.
  • Liaise with external auditors to ensure accuracy and compliance during financial audits.
  • Manage the cash flow and working capital to maintain financial stability in operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with overall business goals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends to offer financial insights and enhance competitive positioning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline is required.
  • A minimum of five years of progressive experience in finance management roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and risk management practices.
  • Professional certification such as CPA or CMA will be highly advantageous.
