Job Description

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Store Keeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all inventory control-related activities. This includes preserving proper control and care of the stock, maintaining efficient store operations, and ensuring proper record-keeping and reporting. As a Store Keeper, you will play a crucial role in the efficient distribution of products and materials throughout the entire supply chain. You will coordinate the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring timely and accurate inventory management. Adeptness in organizational skills, excellent communication, and a keen eye for detail are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and record the incoming inventory, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Ensure proper stocking and organization of goods within the storage area.
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low stock situations.
  • Maintain updated inventories and secure storage environments for incoming stock.
  • Prepare detailed reports on stock inventory levels and discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all storage areas.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and transport teams for timely delivery and dispatch.
  • Implement and maintain efficient inventory management systems and processes.
  • Facilitate periodic stocktaking activities to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to store clerks and junior staff.
  • Develop strategies to optimize storage space and stock layout plans.
  • Ensure accurate product identification and labeling within the storage unit.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with a focus on logistics management.
  • Proven experience as a storekeeper, inventory manager, or similar role.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities are essential.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and related systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team effectively.
  • Keen attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities are required.
