Job Description

The position of Staff Nurse encompasses a critical role within a healthcare setting, focusing on the provision of comprehensive care to patients. A Staff Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality healthcare services, ensuring patient safety, and contributing to the overall operational efficiency of the healthcare facility. Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with prescribed protocols and physician orders.
  • Monitor patients' conditions, document changes, and report necessary information to physicians.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs assessments.
  • Maintain up-to-date medical records and document patient interactions promptly and accurately.
  • Coordinate with the healthcare team to deliver timely and effective patient care.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding healthcare needs.
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.
  • Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Promote and adhere to best practices in infection control and patient safety protocols.
  • Participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Conduct health assessments and assist with medical interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care outcomes.

Requirements

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment is mandatory.
  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of two years of nursing experience in a similar healthcare setting.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for diverse patient interactions.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records and various healthcare software.
