Job Description

The Service Engineer 21J25 position involves providing technical support and maintenance services for client equipment and machinery. This role requires a highly skilled and motivated individual with a deep understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently. As a Service Engineer, you will be the face of our service team, responsible for ensuring the client's operations run smoothly and any disruptions are minimized through diligent service practices. You'll be working closely with clients to understand their needs, offer solutions, and implement effective maintenance strategies. This position requires excellent problem-solving skills and a genuine passion for customer service. The ideal candidate will also have a strong ability to communicate technical information in a clear and precise manner. The job will involve traveling to client sites as required, therefore flexibility and the ability to adapt to new environments quickly are essential.


Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues with client equipment in a timely manner.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Document service and maintenance activities accurately for future reference.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients on operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to improve service delivery processes.
  • Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades or enhancements to improve efficiency.
  • Manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability of critical components.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulations.
  • Develop and conduct training sessions for clients and junior engineers.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment at client sites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mechanical or related discipline required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a similar technical service role.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and components.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to client locations when necessary.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
