Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. As a Service Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, helping them navigate their service needs with efficiency and professionalism. You will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by providing quality service and representing our organization's commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate will be adept at handling customer inquiries, guiding them through services required, and liaising between the customer and our service team. Your ability to manage multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment will be critical to success in this role. Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers in making informed service decisions for their vehicles.
  • Communicate vehicle symptoms and necessary services clearly to the service team.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for vehicle service and repair needs.
  • Maintain detailed records of service and repairs performed on each vehicle.
  • Coordinate and schedule appointments to ensure efficient service department operations.
  • Follow up with customers to assure satisfaction with their service experience.
  • Explain complex technical issues in a jargon-free manner to customers.
  • Manage incoming telephone inquiries and direct them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Ensure all service documentation is complete and accurately filed.
  • Collaborate with technicians to ensure timely completion of vehicle repairs.
  • Investigate and address any customer complaints regarding service quality.
  • Stay updated on service promotions and communicate these to customers appropriately.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a service advisor or similar customer service role.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive services, products, and industry practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and high volume of customer interactions.
  • Proficient in using computer management systems and software applications.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications preferred.
