Job Description

The Senior Associate – Human Resources plays a pivotal role in supporting the HR department's strategic and operational objectives. This role involves collaborating with other HR staff and departmental leaders to implement effective HR policies and practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing various human resources activities, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with employment laws. As a bridge between the employees and management, the Senior Associate will champion communication, professional development, and provide guidance across all organizational levels. This role demands a balance between detail-oriented tasks and strategic initiatives, requiring an experienced professional who can navigate complex HR issues with finesse and strategic acumen.


Responsibilities

  • Lead recruitment efforts including the development of job descriptions and selection processes.
  • Coordinate onboarding programs to integrate new employees effectively into the organization.
  • Manage employee performance appraisal processes, including goal setting and evaluations.
  • Advocate for employees by addressing workplace grievances and resolving disciplinary matters.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Conduct training sessions for employees on various HR topics and soft skills.
  • Collaborate with payroll and benefits teams to maintain accurate employee records.
  • Lead diversity and inclusion initiatives to foster an inclusive workplace environment.
  • Analyze HR metrics to provide insights for improving HR systems and processes.
  • Support change management initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness and culture.
  • Advise management on HR best practices and strategic recommendations for workforce planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a human resources role is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and best HR practices required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems will be beneficial.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
