Job Description

The Purchase Executive plays a pivotal role in ensuring the acquisition of goods and services for a company at the most competitive prices and within budget. Responsibilities

  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors to achieve optimal agreements.
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performances to secure favorable purchasing deals.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and services to support uninterrupted business operations.
  • Maintain an updated database of suppliers, pricing, and inventory levels for reference.
  • Prepare purchase orders and coordinate with the accounts department for payments.
  • Conduct regular reviews of supplier performance and contract compliance.
  • Resolve any discrepancies or issues with suppliers in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with internal departments to understand and plan for material requirements.
  • Implement cost reduction strategies and efficient purchasing procedures.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to optimize procurement processes.
  • Stay informed about the latest industry trends and potential cost-saving areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Purchase Executive or in a similar procurement role.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to strike favorable contracts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities for strategic purchasing decisions.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to manage vendor relationships effectively.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
