Job Description

A Pre-Sales Representative plays a crucial role in the sales process by working alongside the sales team to provide technical knowledge and expertise during the presale phase of a potential sale. This role requires a combination of strong technical skills and the ability to engage effectively with clients to understand their needs and tailor solutions that address those needs. The Pre-Sales Representative is responsible for creating technical presentations, demonstrating products, responding to queries from potential clients, and developing strong relationships with prospects to facilitate a successful sale. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is both technically adept and possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to bridge the gap between technical detail and client understanding.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide detailed technical guidance during the sales process.
  • Develop customized presentations and product demonstrations tailored to client needs.
  • Engage with potential clients to understand their business requirements and technical constraints.
  • Respond promptly and clearly to technical questions from customers and prospects.
  • Assist in the creation of technical proposals and presentations for prospective customers.
  • Identify potential risks and obstacles in the sales process and propose effective solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products and services, as well as industry trends.
  • Work closely with product development teams to provide client feedback and inform product enhancements.
  • Participate in industry events and trade shows to showcase product offerings and connect with prospective clients.
  • Prepare and deliver technical workshops and training sessions for potential clients to ensure product understanding.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively within various departments to ensure a seamless presales process.
  • Track and document all presales activities, interactions, and customer information in CRM systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience in a technical sales or presales position.
  • Strong understanding of software, hardware, and networking technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with an ability to explain complex technical concepts simply.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify needs and solutions.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and industry events as required.
