Job Description

The Pre-Sales Representative plays a crucial role in the sales process by supporting the sales team with technical expertise and product knowledge. Working closely with account managers, this individual is responsible for understanding customer needs, preparing tailored solutions, and effectively communicating the value proposition of complex products or services to potential clients. The Pre-Sales Representative acts as a bridge between the sales and technical teams, ensuring that solutions are viable and align with customer business objectives. Through collaboration and innovation, this role contributes to customer satisfaction and drives revenue growth. An ideal candidate is a skilled communicator with a technical background, capable of providing insights and solutions that align with customer needs.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of client needs and requirements prior to engagements.
  • Develop tailored product or service solutions based on customer needs assessments.
  • Present technical information and product solutions to potential and existing clients.
  • Collaborate closely with sales teams to support business development and revenue targets.
  • Create and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to potential customers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in client organizations.
  • Assist in responding to RFIs, RFPs, and other customer inquiries with technical detail.
  • Provide feedback to product development teams on customer pain points and market needs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitive landscape to provide strategic insights.
  • Train and mentor junior sales staff on product features and technical sales strategies.
  • Coordinate customer technical reviews and provide reports to the management team.
  • Participate in sales meetings and contribute to setting sales strategy and goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related technical field.
  • At least three years of experience in a pre-sales or similar technical role.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to influence client decisions effectively.
  • Proven ability to understand and discuss complex technical concepts with clients.
  • Experience with CRM tools and systems for managing customer relationships.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strategic approach to meeting client needs.
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend events.
