Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment to ensure functionality.
• Diagnose and repair complex electrical issues to prevent operational downtime and enhance facility safety.
• Install, maintain, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, and control devices in a safe manner.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams for electrical systems and components.
• Utilize electrical testing instruments to diagnose faults, proscribe fixes, and ensure system integrity.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed through logs, journals, and computerized maintenance systems.
• Collaborate with various departments to schedule repairs and contribute to overall maintenance planning.
• Adhere to all health and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
• Respond promptly to emergency calls and efficiently restore electrical systems as needed.
• Advise and support management in making decisions about electrical equipment upgrades or replacements.
• Supervise contractors and less experienced technicians, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to deadlines.
• Participate in continuous learning to stay updated on electrical maintenance methodologies and technologies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, with additional technical training in electrical systems.
• Certified Journeyman Electrician license, or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
• Minimum of three years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance roles.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, testing techniques, and troubleshooting procedures is essential.
• Ability to read, understand, and work from blueprints, drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure and tight schedules.
• Physical ability to effectively perform the duties of a maintenance electrician, including climbing and lifting.
