Job Description

As an IT Manager, you will be at the forefront of aligning the organization’s technological needs with its business objectives. Your role is pivotal in overseeing the IT department, ensuring that IT infrastructure runs efficiently, securely, and supports the growth and operations of the company. You will strategize and implement the long-term goals of the IT department as well as oversee the organization’s technology budgeting and planning. With a keen eye on emerging technologies, you will guide the IT team through innovative initiatives, ensuring systems and processes are up-to-date and optimized. Your leadership will be essential in project management, developing IT policies, and fostering a team capable of delivering high-quality service and solutions to internal and external stakeholders.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee IT strategies and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Lead the IT department in delivering efficient and effective services and solutions.
  • Plan, manage, and allocate budgets for the IT department and its initiatives.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the organization.
  • Ensure the security of company data and IT infrastructure against cyber threats.
  • Coordinate the implementation and maintenance of the company’s IT systems and applications.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies and standards to enhance service delivery.
  • Manage and mentor IT staff, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand and fulfill their technological needs.
  • Oversee data backup procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors for IT hardware and software procurement.
  • Lead disaster recovery planning and risk management activities for IT systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in an IT management or similar leadership role, preferably in a medium to large organization.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and emerging technology trends.
  • Experience in project management and budget planning in IT settings.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills in complex situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
