Job Description

As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management and accuracy of inventory within our organization. This position is critical to maintaining the proper balance of stock levels to meet customer demands without incurring excess holding costs. You will be responsible for overseeing all inventory-related activities including tracking shipments, overseeing stock storage, handling discrepancies, and implementing inventory control processes. A keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in inventory management software are required to optimize inventory processes and support the overall operations. You will collaborate closely with other departments to forecast inventory needs, prevent shortages, and drive continuous improvements in stock management.


Responsibilities

  • Track and manage inventory levels to ensure they match company records.
  • Conduct regular physical inventories and reconcile with database records accurately.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing department to forecast inventory supplies and demands.
  • Analyze inventory trends and provide recommendations for inventory optimization.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Implement inventory control processes to enhance operational efficiency and accountability.
  • Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of inventory to maintain stock accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and adjustments systematically.
  • Coordinate with warehouses and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate inventory figures in financial reports.
  • Operate and update inventory management software to reflect current inventory levels.
  • Provide training to team members on inventory control best practices and procedures.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in inventory management or similar roles is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify patterns and discrepancies in data.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for inventory accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field preferred.
