Job Description

The Inventory Control Specialist is a vital role responsible for managing and maintaining the company's inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability, accuracy, and quality. This position requires a meticulous and organized individual who can efficiently manage inventory systems and processes. The specialist will analyze inventory metrics and work closely with various departments, including procurement, logistics, and sales, to forecast inventory needs, minimize shortages, and reduce costs. The Inventory Control Specialist will also handle inventory audits, manage stock discrepancies, and initiate corrective actions as needed to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records to support the company's supply chain operations.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to forecast inventory needs and purchase orders.
  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to minimize stock shortages.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify reconciliations or discrepancies in real-time.
  • Coordinate with logistics to ensure timely stock replenishment and distribution.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Initiate corrective actions and adjustments for stock discrepancies when necessary.
  • Prepare periodic inventory reports for management and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in optimizing warehouse space usage and inventory organization strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory guidelines during inventory management.
  • Perform regular system updates and enhancements for inventory software systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management or a similar role.
  • Proficiency with inventory and warehouse management software systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage various priorities.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with different departments seamlessly.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
