Job Description

The Front Desk Supervisor plays a pivotal role in the hospitality industry by overseeing the front office operations and ensuring outstanding service delivery to guests. This position requires a blend of leadership skills, customer service aptitude, and operational knowledge to manage the daily process of the front desk collectively. The supervisor is responsible for maintaining high standards, resolving guest and employee concerns efficiently, and ensuring a seamless experience from check-in to check-out. Additionally, the Front Desk Supervisor should possess problem-solving skills and be capable of making sound decisions that enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily operations of the front desk and reception area.
  • Ensure timely, accurate guest check-ins and check-outs are maintained adeptly.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and address guest inquiries promptly.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate front desk staff to elevate performance levels.
  • Oversee cash and payment processing and ensure accuracy in transactions.
  • Implement and uphold front office policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Conduct regular meetings with staff to discuss operations and improvements.
  • Handle escalating guest complaints with empathy and efficiency.
  • Monitor and address front desk inventory, supplies, and equipment needs.
  • Foster a harmonious environment by resolving staff conflicts and issues.
  • Assist in scheduling and shift planning for the front desk team.
  • Compile and analyze front desk statistics and reports for management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory front desk position.
  • Strong leadership abilities and effective communication skills required.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite needed.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and detail-oriented with multitasking ability.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach are essential.
