The role of an F&B Service Expert is crucial in ensuring customer satisfaction and contributing to the overall efficiency and reputation of a dining establishment. As an F&B Service Expert, you will be responsible for delivering exemplary service to guests by taking and serving food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently. You will act as the face of the restaurant or catering service, interacting directly with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring that their dining experience is memorable. This role requires a blend of excellent communication skills, keen attention to detail, and a deep understanding of food and beverage options. You will also collaborate with kitchen staff and managers to ensure a smooth and efficient delivery of services, adhering to the set standards of quality and safety guidelines. Your ability to manage diverse customer requests, handle complaints with professionalism, and work in a fast-paced environment will be key to thriving in this position.


Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests warmly and ascertain their dining preferences attentively.
  • Guide guests through the menu and provide detailed information on dishes.
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders and communicate them to the kitchen staff.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests promptly, ensuring the presentation meets a high standard.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve any issues or complaints swiftly and politely.
  • Clear tables in a timely fashion and reset them for the next set of guests.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the dining area before, during, and after service.
  • Assist in managing inventory and placing orders for food and beverage supplies as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure harmonious service delivery.
  • Provide training support to junior staff and help them improve their service skills.
  • Adhere to all food safety, health, and hygiene regulations and practices routinely.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to service improvement strategies actively.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality certifications are beneficial.
  • Proven experience in food and beverage service or a similar customer service role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to handle diverse guests effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Knowledge of food service operations and familiarity with various dishes and beverages.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods during shifts.
