Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently.
• Ensure proper loading and unloading of cargo at designated locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections following company protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and usage of fuel.
• Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and regulations at all times.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members for smooth operation.
• Prioritize parcels and freight deliveries based on schedules and customer requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the assigned vehicle regularly.
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance issues to the supervisor immediately.
• Identify and report any operational issues or delays experienced on the road.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure the safety of self and cargo during transport.
• Stay updated with road conditions and adjust routes to avoid delays when necessary.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
• Proven experience as a commercial or professional driver is required.
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations applicable to driving.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Ability to operate various types of vehicles as per departmental requirements.
• Basic mechanical skills to perform vehicle inspections and routine maintenance.
