Job Description

The Deputy Project Manager - Quality is a pivotal role focused on ensuring that project outcomes meet the highest quality standards. This role assists the Project Manager in overseeing and coordinating project operations, specifically concerning quality assurance and control. The Deputy Project Manager is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of quality management strategies, as well as ensuring compliance with industry regulations and project specifications. With a focus on driving continuous improvement, this position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and have significant experience in quality management within project-based environments.


Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager in planning and executing project quality activities.
  • Develop and implement project-specific quality assurance and control plans.
  • Coordinate with teams to ensure project deliverables meet specified quality standards.
  • Monitor project processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for quality improvements.
  • Report quality performance metrics and findings to senior management.
  • Facilitate communication and resolution of quality-related issues among teams.
  • Train team members on quality assurance processes and best practices.
  • Review and approve project documentation to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with external partners to align quality goals and objectives.
  • Assist in the evaluation and selection of quality tools and technologies.
  • Implement corrective actions and monitor their effectiveness as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a quality management role required.
  • Proven experience in project-based quality assurance and control practices.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and quality standards is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective liaison with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in quality management tools and software applications is an advantage.
