We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team, dedicated to providing exceptional oral healthcare services. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dental professionals to ensure the highest standards of care for our patients. Your daily responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, maintaining dental equipment, taking and developing dental radiograms (x-rays), and ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the treatment rooms. Your ability to work effectively as part of a team, while also managing your responsibilities independently, will be vital to the smooth operation of our practice. Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist in all dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort at all times.
• Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring they are clean and well-organized before surgeries.
• Sterilize dental instruments and ensure instruments are ready for efficient usage.
• Take and develop high-quality dental x-rays and ensure proper patient safety measures.
• Schedule patient appointments and follow up on patient records and billing information.
• Provide patients with information and instructions for oral healthcare post-procedure.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and practice policies.
• Ensure dental supplies are adequately stocked and order supplies as needed.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques such as proper brushing and flossing.
• Assist in maintaining accurate patient records and update dental charts timely.
• Support front office duties, including answering phone calls and greeting patients.
• Participate in continuing education opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent and Dental Assistant certification.
• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant, with professional references required.
• Thorough knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization techniques essential.
• Experience with patient management software and dental x-ray equipment necessary.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain professional composure.
• Dedication to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to healthcare standards.
