Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and result-oriented Collection Executive to join our team. As a Collection Executive, your primary responsibility will be managing outstanding debts owed to our company and ensuring timely collection in a professional manner. This role requires excellent communication skills, as you will be interacting with customers to resolve any payment issues. You will work closely with other departments to ensure accuracy in customer accounts and develop effective payment plans while maintaining customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of credit and collections, as well as the ability to handle sensitive financial information. Responsibilities

  • Contact customers via phone, email, or mail to discuss their overdue payments.
  • Negotiate payment plans and terms that balance company goals and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of collections activities and customer communications.
  • Coordinate with the sales and accounts departments to ensure account discrepancies are resolved.
  • Provide regular reports on collection activities, outstanding debts, and payment forecasts.
  • Utilize various collections strategies and techniques to persuade customers to settle debts.
  • Identify high-risk accounts and implement appropriate action plans to mitigate potential losses.
  • Adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements when handling debt collections.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with customers to encourage future business.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of effective collections policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate customer's credit history to determine appropriate collections strategies.
  • Work with legal teams to initiate legal action against defaulters when necessary.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Collection Executive or in a similar role in financial services.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact effectively with customers.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess complex account data and customer payment trends.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with collection management software.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple accounts with varying levels of complexity.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and guidelines for debt collection.
