Job Description

The Assistant Manager — Finance plays a critical role in managing the financial operations of an organization. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with exceptional analytical skills and a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. The Assistant Manager will assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. They will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards, as well as supporting strategic financial planning initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to ensure smooth and efficient audit proceedings.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to aid strategic decision-making processes.
  • Support the development and management of the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, standards, and internal policies at all times.
  • Oversee and improve financial accounting systems, processes, and practices.
  • Collaborate with various departments to streamline financial operations and reporting.
  • Manage cash flow, ensuring funds are allocated appropriately to meet business needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies and plans.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management.
  • Identify areas for cost reduction and generate actionable insights for savings.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to finance team members and support their development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in financial management or accounting.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial management software, tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
