Job Description

The Assistant Manager (Finance) is a critical role within the finance department, responsible for supporting the financial management and accounting functions of the company. This position involves managing financial processes and systems, assisting in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance with financial regulations. The Assistant Manager (Finance) collaborates with various departments to ensure accurate financial data is collected and reported. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the finance department activities.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal control policies.
  • Coordinate and support the budgeting and forecasting processes annually.
  • Collaborate with departments to provide financial advice and insights as needed.
  • Review and analyze financial data to identify trends and variances.
  • Prepare financial models and forecasts to support business planning and decisions.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure operational liquidity and efficiency.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations effectively.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders, including banks and financial institutions.
  • Train and mentor junior staff members in finance and accounting practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field required.
  • Proven experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency with financial software and advanced Excel skills are essential.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are crucial.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
