Job Description

An Accounting Associate - Level II is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and maintaining financial records to ensure the precision and efficiency of all financial processes. With a focus on accuracy and compliance, this role demands a deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations. The Level II Associate is expected to assist in the preparation of financial statements, manage accounts payable and receivable, and conduct a variety of accounting tasks that require critical thinking and attention to detail. Working collaboratively with other departments, the Associate provides financial insights that influence decision-making and ensure the organization’s financial integrity. In addition to technical skills, this position requires effective communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities to handle complex financial data and facilitate audits.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in the preparation and coordination of annual audits and tax filings.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoices and customer payments.
  • Review and verify financial transactions to comply with policies and regulations.
  • Collaborate with different departments to determine financial status and guide budget planning.
  • Ensure financial records are well-organized and stored securely for easy retrieval.
  • Assist in developing and implementing efficient accounting procedures and systems.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, including bank reconciliations and forecasting.
  • Prepare reports on financial performance and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of organizational financial and employee payroll information.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and develop strategies to improve accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting roles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for clear reporting and collaboration.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks under strict deadlines.
  • Experience with ERP systems, including SAP or Oracle, is highly desirable.
