The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in a company's financial health, acting as the backbone of the accounting department. Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the varied activities of the accounting department, ensuring efficiency.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and related reports.
• Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• Develop and monitor internal control policies to mitigate account risks effectively.
• Coordinate and complete annual audits and collaborate with external auditors consistently.
• Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and provide detailed reports on findings.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions comply with accounting regulations.
• Prepare and review budget forecasts and make recommendations to optimize expenses.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff to ensure performance and professional development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline from an accredited university.
• Minimum of five years experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a corporate setting.
• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is highly preferred for this role.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles is essential.
• Excellent analytical skills required to assess and interpret financial data effectively.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail.
