Job Description

The Sales Operations Assistant plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient functioning of sales activities within an organization. They are responsible for supporting the sales team by managing sales data, analyzing trends, and maintaining smooth communication within the department. This position requires someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong analytical skills. The Sales Operations Assistant will work closely with sales leadership to streamline processes that enhance productivity. In this role, you will be involved in handling administrative tasks, preparing reports, and facilitating communication between different departments to ensure alignment with company goals. An ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying opportunities to improve sales processes and will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of all sales data and activities.
  • Prepare and distribute regular sales reports for management review.
  • Coordinate communication between the sales team and other internal departments.
  • Support the preparation and execution of sales and marketing plans.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage and update sales databases and customer relationship management systems.
  • Assist in the organization and scheduling of meetings and conferences.
  • Handle customer inquiries and direct them to the appropriate person or department.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for sales operations procedures.
  • Provide administrative support such as managing calendars and scheduling appointments.
  • Facilitate the onboarding of new sales team members by organizing necessary resources.
  • Implement and monitor sales process improvements and efficiency strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Previous experience in sales support or operations roles is highly desirable.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with various teams.
  • Proven ability to analyze data to inform sales strategies and decisions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy in data entry and reporting.
