Job Description

The Relationship Manager in Retail Banking is a pivotal role responsible for managing a portfolio of retail banking clients, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving business growth. As a Relationship Manager, you will work closely with clients to understand their financial needs and provide personalized banking solutions. You will be the main point of contact for clients, offering insights into banking products, introducing new services, and addressing any concerns they may have. Your ability to build strong relationships, coupled with a deep understanding of retail banking products, will be key in achieving customer satisfaction and loyalty. You will also be expected to identify new business opportunities to enhance the branch's profitability and market presence.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with retail banking clients to maximize satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews to ensure clients’ financial goals are being met.
  • Provide clients with comprehensive advice on a wide range of banking services.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for selling additional banking products to existing clients.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for resolving client queries and issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure an excellent client service experience.
  • Stay updated on the latest financial regulations and product offerings in the retail banking sector.
  • Prepare detailed reports on client activity, financial products, and market trends.
  • Organize and conduct client events to promote bank products and services.
  • Work towards achieving set sales targets and performance metrics on a monthly basis.
  • Educate clients on the use of digital banking platforms for enhanced service efficiency.
  • Monitor market conditions and provide clients with appropriate financial advice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field required.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in retail banking or client relationship roles.
  • Strong knowledge of banking products, services, and the retail banking industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse client base.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make informed decisions quickly.
  • Proficiency with banking software and a good understanding of digital banking tools.
