Responsibilities

  • Perform image-guided procedures efficiently while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Evaluate medical imaging technologies and recommend improvements or upgrades when needed.
  • Ensure proper documentation of radiology reports and maintain patient records systematically.
  • Provide expert consultation to patients and their families, simplifying complex medical information.
  • Supervise and direct radiology technologists and other support staff effectively.
  • Stay updated with current radiology techniques, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate actively in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
  • Implement radiation safety measures to protect patients and healthcare staff consistently.
  • Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care.
  • Conduct audits and produce quality metrics to help maintain high standards in radiology services.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with specialization in Radiology from an accredited institution.
  • Completed residency in radiology with board certification or eligibility preferred.
  • Proven experience as a radiologist in a clinical or hospital setting.
  • Strong understanding of medical imaging procedures, radiation safety, and patient care principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and medical staff.
  • Valid medical license to practice as a radiologist in the state of employment.
