Mechanical/Technical Draftsman (MEP/Civil) 18J25

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Mechanical/Technical Draftsman specializing in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) as well as Civil drafting services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering and architectural principles, with the ability to translate these concepts into precise technical drawings. This role demands a professional who is adept in using computer-aided design (CAD) software to prepare detailed plans that are essential for building project execution. The draftsman will work closely with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure the alignment of designs with project specifications, regulations, and client expectations. This position requires a proactive problem solver who can maintain high accuracy and adherence to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed technical drawings for MEP systems and Civil projects using CAD software.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to clarify design specifications and standards.
• Ensure all drawings and plans are compliant with the local building codes and regulations.
• Revise and update drawings based on feedback from project teams as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of all project documentation and drawings.
• Assist in the coordination of multidisciplinary design efforts for complex building projects.
• Conduct site visits to gather data and integrate it into design modifications.
• Interpret technical information and translate it into clear and concise drafting documents.
• Provide technical support and input during the construction and installation phases.
• Maintain active communication with project managers and stakeholders regarding drawing progress.
• Develop and improve drafting procedures and standards within the organization.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss project drafts and design improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Draftsman, specifically in MEP and Civil projects.
• Advanced proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Revit, is required.
• Solid understanding of engineering principles and construction techniques.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Keen attention to detail to ensure precision and accuracy in all drawings.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic work setting.
