Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on HSE&C best practices and protocols.
  • Ensure all incidents and accidents are reported and investigated thoroughly.
  • Collaborate with management to establish a workplace culture prioritizing safety and compliance.
  • Prepare reports on safety performance metrics and suggest areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the development of emergency response and evacuation plans.
  • Analyze risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate potential hazards.
  • Stay updated with current HSE&C legislation and recommend necessary changes.
  • Liaise with external agencies and regulatory bodies on compliance-related matters.
  • Advise on the safe use and maintenance of equipment and machinery.
  • Coordinate HSE&C meetings and provide insights to enhance safety management systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in an HSE&C advisory role.
  • Thorough understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written for cross-functional engagement.
  • Certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent will be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using safety management software and reporting tools.
