Job Description

The role of a Counter Sales Executive is pivotal in ensuring customer satisfaction and driving sales at retail outlets. As a Counter Sales Executive, you will be the face of the company at the customer interaction points, providing exemplary service, answering queries, and facilitating a seamless purchasing experience. Typically stationed at the sales counter, you will assist customers by processing transactions quickly and efficiently. You are expected to be knowledgeable about the products being sold, able to provide information and recommendations, and adept at resolving any issues that may arise. This role requires excellent communication skills, a pleasant demeanor, and the ability to handle transactions accurately and efficiently. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are also essential.


Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers warmly and ascertain the purpose of their visit promptly.
  • Provide information about products and demonstrate their use to customers.
  • Manage sales transactions efficiently, handling cash, credit card, and other payment methods.
  • Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
  • Keep the sales counter organized, clean, and presentable at all times.
  • Update the inventory system with product sales, ensuring accuracy in records.
  • Assist with stocking shelves, organizing product displays, and managing back stock.
  • Follow up with customers regarding questions, concerns, or additional purchases.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a high level of customer service.
  • Stay informed about new products, promotions, and policies.
  • Prepare sales reports and maintain accurate documentation for reconciliation.
  • Promote loyalty programs or promotional activities to enhance customer engagement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; sales or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Proficient in using point-of-sale systems and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a willingness to assist customers effectively.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and handle some physical activity during the shift.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays as necessary.
