Job Description

The Counter Sales Executive plays a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. As the first point of contact for our customers, you will be responsible for driving sales, building and maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and a proactive approach to sales. You will work at our sales counter, fielding inquiries, introducing products, demonstrating features, handling customer queries, and processing sales efficiently. With a commitment to quality service and a passion for sales, the Counter Sales Executive helps create a positive shopping environment and establishes productive relationships with both new and returning customers.


Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers as they enter the sales area, ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of all products to provide customers with accurate information.
  • Promote and cross-sell products to improve overall customer shopping experience.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, whether inperson, by phone, or via email.
  • Process sales transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timeliness at the sales counter.
  • Keep the sales area tidy and organized, displaying products in an appealing manner.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
  • Handle customer complaints and returns professionally, finding appropriate solutions promptly.
  • Participate in store meetings and product training sessions to stay current with offerings.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet collective sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Collect customer feedback and report back to management for continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and submit daily sales reports to maintain accurate records of transactions.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Executive or similar role in retail sales.
  • Strong understanding of basic sales principles and customer service practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, with an ability to engage customers effectively.
  • Ability to handle pressure while working in a high-traffic retail environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management, cash register operations, and sales reporting.
  • Proficient in using basic computer software for sales and record-keeping tasks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in business is advantageous.
