We are seeking a talented and experienced AutoCAD Designer specializing in wooden furniture design to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed design drawings and specifications using AutoCAD for high-quality wooden furniture pieces. With a keen eye for detail and a vast understanding of wood materials and furniture construction, the AutoCAD Designer will play a pivotal role in translating conceptual designs into practical, manufacturable products. This position requires a creative thinker with excellent problem-solving skills, impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. As an integral part of our design team, the AutoCAD Designer will collaborate with fellow designers, production staff, and clients to ensure accurately crafted furniture that meets design briefs and exceeds quality expectations.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed AutoCAD drawings for a wide range of wooden furniture designs.
• Collaborate with designers and production staff to optimize design for manufacturing.
• Ensure all designs comply with company standards and client specifications.
• Develop innovative design solutions that enhance functionality and aesthetics.
• Conduct research on current furniture design trends and materials technology.
• Prepare and present design proposals and models to team members and clients.
• Modify existing designs to meet quality or manufacturing standards effectively.
• Maintain precise records of drawings and design alterations for future reference.
• Consistently review designs to improve efficiency and resource allocation.
• Participate actively in project meetings to assess project progression and hurdles.
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure material specifications match project needs.
• Provide technical support throughout the design and production process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in AutoCAD design within furniture manufacturing.
• Proven expertise in designing wooden furniture with strong portfolio examples.
• Solid understanding of furniture materials, production processes, and techniques.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to produce precise technical drawings.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
